It was a busy week for your Coastal Tsunami, with three games, and some exciting hockey!
The boys kicked things off on the road in Langley on October 7th, putting together a strong performance with goals from Max Wingrove and Gavin Smith (his first of the season!). Between the pipes, Parker Parrish was outstanding, facing 34 shots and making some incredible saves. Unfortunately, Langley came out strong in the third period and managed to skate away with the win.
On October 9th, the Tsunami headed to Ridge Meadows to take on the Flames, who have been on fire this season (pun intended). But you know what puts out a fire? A TSUNAMI! The Flames opened the scoring in the first period, but that would be the last time they’d find the back of the net all night. The Tsunami came alive with two goals each from Tait Harris (his first of the season!) and Ben Walker, plus goals from Liam Befus, Gavin Smith, and Dawsen Harmer. Ridge Meadows certainly had their chances, 35 to be exact, but Hayden Paris was on fire himself (yes, another pun!) and shut the door on all but one. The Tsunami rolled to an impressive 7-1 victory!
The next night, the Flames came to town for a rematch, and this time it was a back-and-forth battle. Josh Cymbaluk picked up his first goal of the season, while Spencer Huth added another for the Tsunami. Hayden Paris was busy once again, facing another 35 shots and making some great saves. Unfortunately, the Flames got their revenge, taking this one 5-2.
There’s no slowing down for the boys! Another busy week of Tsunami hockey is just around the corner. They’ll hit the road to face the Richmond Sockeyes on Thursday at 7:00 PM, followed by a trip to Delta to take on the Ice Hawks on Saturday at 7:00 PM. Then it’s back home on Sunday at 5:00 PM for another showdown with the Delta Ice Hawks!
It’s going to be an exciting week of Tsunami Hockey!
